Overview

Ana Petrić was born in Požega, Croatia. After finishing Grammar school in Požega she continued her education at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb, where she graduated on March, 8th 2005 from the Telecommunication Department. She published a paper based on her diploma thesis at "The 8th International Conference on Telecommunications, ConTEL 2005". Furthermore, she participated in the summer school "Exploring ICT frontiers: Agents, Quality of Service and Distributed Computing" organized by the Ericsson Nikola Tesla company and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing.

Since March 2005 Ana has been employed at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing as a Research Assistant on the project "Agent-Based Remote Software Management". In March 2006 she became a Research Assistant on the projects of Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports. First she conducted her research within the project "Mobility of users and services in new generation networks" and later she continued her work on the project "Content Delivery and Mobility of Users and Services in New Generation Networks". She defended her Ph.D. thesis in February 2011.

Ana is the Publicity Co-Chair of the "6th International KES Conference on Agents and Multi-agent Systems – Technologies and Applications". She was also the Organizing Committee Chair of "The 9th International Conference on Telecommunications, ConTEL 2007" and "The 10th International Conference on Telecommunications, ConTEL 2009" as well as the Publicity Chair of "The 12th International Conference on Knowledge-Based and Intelligent Information & Engineering Systems, KES 2008".

  • Silver Plaque "Josip Loncar" Award, the Dean's award for outstanding doctoral dissertation and particularly successful scientific research (2011). Awarded by the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing;
  • 1st prize in Agrokor company contest for a prototype solution of an e-commerce service (2007);
  • "Best Junior Student Paper Presentation" award at the "The 8th International Conference on Telecommunications, ConTEL 2005" (2005).
  • 2nd prize in annual Ericsson Nikola Tesla company contest for a student project "Agent Competition in Supply Chain Management" (2004);
  • "Josip Loncar" Award for excellence for academic year 2003/2004 from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing;
